Phathom Pharmaceuticals Starts Registrational Phase 3 Voquezna Study

09:06 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Phathom Pharmaceuticals (PHAT) began patient screening for a registrational phase 3 study evaluating Voquezna as an as-needed treatment for adults with non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease, the company said Tuesday. The pHalcon-NERD-302 study will enroll about 500 adults at 80 US sites to compare VOQUEZNA 10 mg with placebo over 24 weeks, measuring complete and sustained heartburn relief, the company said. The study builds on positive phase 2 results and could support a label expansion for as-needed heartburn treatment in patients with non-erosive GERD if successful, it added. Topline results are expected in Q1 2028.
