Sector Update: Financial Stocks Edge Higher Premarket Tuesday

09:24 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were edging higher premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) advancing by 0.2%. The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.6% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.5% lower. KKR (KKR) and RWE have teamed up to submit a non-binding bid for Germany's state-owned Uniper, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. Shares of KKR were 0.3% higher pre-bell. Morgan Stanley (MS) has established a Digital Asset Lab to test stablecoins, tokenization and decentralized finance applications as it explores blockchain-based systems across its business, Bloomberg reported. Morgan Stanley stock was 1% higher premarket. Blackstone (BX) is launching a logistics investment platform that will begin operating next year across key markets in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, the company said. Blackstone shares were up 0.7% pre-bell.
