12:46 PM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Travelers' (TRV) growing use of artificial intelligence could deliver meaningful productivity gains across its business, resulting in improved expense and loss adjustment expense ratios, UBS Securities said. The company has deployed AI across underwriting, customer acquisition and service, and claims, with tools helping reduce processing times, according to the Monday note. In auto claims, more than 70% of physical damage claims now go through straight-through processing, cutting handling time by about 60%, UBS said. The insurer's proprietary TravelersLLM operates at about 90% lower cost than third-party models, while AI-enabled underwriting tools are also reducing preparation times, the note added. UBS has a neutral rating and a $383 price target on the company's stock. Shares of Travelers were down 1.1% in Tuesday afternoon trading. Price: 358.97, Change: -4.19, Percent Change: -1.15
