L3Harris Receives $6 Billion THAAD Propulsion Contract From Lockheed Martin

04:01 PM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- L3Harris Technologies (LHX) said Tuesday it received a contract from Lockheed Martin (LMT) to expand propulsion production for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD. The contract is valued at more than $6 billion, excluding escalations, over a period of seven years, according to a statement. L3Harris said it will construct a new facility to support increased THAAD solid rocket boost motor manufacturing and will also expand capacity for THAAD's Liquid Divert and Attitude Control production.
