Eric Jackson: “Bitcoin Could Reach $100,000 by the End of This Year” – His Long-Term Target Is $50 Million

Eric Jackson, Head of SRX Global Asset Management, stated that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the end of 2026. According to Jackson, if the recent upward breakout in Bitcoin continues, it seems possible that the bullish trend will be maintained for the remainder of the year.

Speaking to Coinage, Jackson stated that his company’s Bitcoin macro model tracks interest rates, global liquidity, gold-Bitcoin correlation, and other macroeconomic indicators. He explained that the model does not aim to predict short-term daily movements, but rather classifies the market regime over approximately 30 days as a “bullish,” “mixed,” or “stressed” market.

Jackson stated that the model signaled a stressful market on May 26th when Bitcoin was around $77,000, after which the price fell to around $58,000 in the following weeks. However, he noted that the model shifted back to a “mixed” market on August 14th, and then to a “bullish” market a few days later, with Bitcoin quickly rising from around $64,000 to over $70,000.

According to the experienced investor, global liquidity is one of the most important variables for Bitcoin. Jackson argued that investors should focus specifically on liquidity conditions and macroeconomic developments rather than getting lost among numerous market indicators. While acknowledging the importance of ETF inflows, Jackson stated that they are not the sole factor determining price direction.

Highlighting Bitcoin’s strong recovery in August, Jackson noted that in the past, once Bitcoin started moving in a certain direction, it was able to maintain that trend for months. Believing that Bitcoin, after falling from its peak of around $126,000 last year to $58,000, has now initiated a new upward movement, Jackson stated that if the current trend continues, $100,000 could be reached by the end of the year.

Jackson said, “As a human being, not a machine, I think Bitcoin is heading towards $100,000 by the end of this year.” However, he cautioned against making such a prediction, stating that he would continue to monitor both his own investor biases and the signals from price charts and models.

Jackson also stated that he sees continued ETF inflows in the short term as a positive signal. He specifically noted that capital flows into spot Bitcoin ETFs are one of the key indicators of both individual and institutional investor participation.

On the macroeconomic front, Jackson stated that US 10-year Treasury yields and global liquidity indicators should be closely monitored, arguing that declines in bond yields or oil prices could be supportive for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market in general.

Jackson’s long-term outlook for Bitcoin is much higher. He sees Bitcoin as a global collateral asset in the digital economy of the future, and has a highly ambitious price target of $50 million for Bitcoin over the next 15 years. However, he specifically emphasized that this rise will not be linear, and that significant price fluctuations and sharp corrections are possible throughout the process.

How does Wall Street view the PCE? Goldman Sachs delays expectation for Fed rate hike

After the lower-than-expected US August PCE data was released, Goldman Sachs delayed its expectation for the Federal Reserve's second rate hike from October to December, and stated that it does not rule out the possibility that the Fed may eventually decide no further hikes are necessary. "New Fed Newsletter" Timiraos noted that the PCE does not change the previously known trend of rising inflation. Currently, the market prices in a 39% probability of a rate hike in October, down from 45% before the PCE release; and a 90% probability in December. The yield on 2-year US Treasury notes dipped slightly after the PCE announcement and then rebounded, while the 10-year yield continued to rise.
