Nokia, ICEYE Collaborate on Satellite Communications for Governments

03:41 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nokia (NOK) and ICEYE are collaborating on a partnership to develop broadband low Earth orbit satellite communications systems for governments, the companies said Thursday. The applications would include military operations, border security, and emergency services, the companies said. The jointly developed communications systems would give governments ownership and control of the satellites and ground terminals, with the first products expected to be launched in 2028, the companies said.
