National Fuel Gas Completes Acquisition of CenterPoint's Natural Gas Utility in Ohio

07:31 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- National Fuel Gas (NFG) completed the acquisition of CenterPoint Energy's (CNP) natural gas utility business in Ohio, the company said Thursday. Following the closing, Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio will be renamed National Fuel Gas Distribution of Ohio. The utility serves approximately 335,000 customers across 16 counties in the Dayton and greater Miami Valley region in Ohio, National Fuel Gas said. National Fuel Gas will add 200 employees as part of the acquisition, it said.
