09:54 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Blackstone (BX) has launched defense technology company Falcata through the acquisition and combination of TSC and Applied Systems Engineering, the company said Thursday. Falcata will develop guidance electronics, radar systems, and navigation technology for national security missions, the company said. The combined entity aims to expand US manufacturing capacity for interceptors to counter low-cost aerial threats like drones and missiles, Blackstone said. A federal judge in New York has ruled that USA Today, Daily Mail, and a collective of about 5,000 publishers may each seek compensation of $900 millions, $600 millions, and $1.7 billions, respectively.
