Mattel Stock Ends Sharply Higher After WSJ Report of Takeover Interest -- WSJ

Mattel stock jumped 19% Thursday after The Wall Street Journal reported that the toy maker recently attracted takeover interest from brand-licensing giant Authentic Brands Group.
-- It was the largest percent increase for Mattel stock in more than seven years. (It rose 23% on Feb. 8, 2019.)
-- Despite today's gain, Mattel stock is still down 24% year-to-date.
