According to Bloomberg, sources revealed that Saudi Arabia's key East-West transnational oil pipeline is currently operating normally. Earlier, AFP cited an unnamed source in Saudi Arabia's energy sector reporting that the pipeline had been shut down after a pump station along the route was attacked again over the weekend. Following the AFP report, oil prices temporarily surged, but then gave back the gains once news of normal pipeline operations emerged. As of late last week, Saudi Aramco had increased the oil throughput of this pipeline, which has a daily capacity of 7 million barrels, to over 80% of its capacity, thereby restoring the majority of the flow that had been affected by last month's attack.
