US equity indexes rose amid government bond yields surging to the highest in more than two decades, while crude oil fell after Iran-backed militant group Houthis reportedly ceded territory it captured in September. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.8% to 27,419.9, the S&P 500 climbed 0.6% to 7,769.4, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1% to 51,251.9 after midday Monday.
