iExec surges 128% – Here’s why RLC crypto buyers may want to wait for a pullback

AMBCryptoAMBCrypto2026/10/06 09:03

iExec RLC [RLC] token has rallied 128% in the past 24 hours as of this writing. Its daily trading volume was $193.33 million, up an astonishing 13,829% from the previous day.

It appeared to be a frantic capital rotation play into the open-source, decentralized privacy project. The platform enables confidential computing and trusted off-chain execution, according to CoinMarketCap.

The relatively low market cap of around $30 million before the swift rally could have also made it an attractive target for a brief rally. The question now is, will the rally reverse, or is it the start of a bull run for RLC crypto?

Risk appetite among altcoin market participants helps RLC crypto

The RLC crypto token has been in a downtrend since October 2025. For a few brief days in May earlier this year, the altcoin appeared to have shifted to a bullish structure, but this did not last.

Bitcoin [BTC] had maintained a bullish long-term bias in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the altcoin market’s risk appetite offered a possible backdrop for RLC’s sudden capital inflows.

The $0.33 swing high, marked in green, preceded the decline to the $0.243 swing low in late July. RLC had since breached that high, signaling a bullish shift. Heavy Trading Volume in recent days also supported the bullish view.

Even so, speculative activity had accelerated sharply. According to Coinalyze, RLC’s Open Interest grew 1,570% in 24 hours.

Such rapid growth in derivatives positioning could leave the rally vulnerable to a sharp correction if leveraged positions unwind.

Traders’ call to action- Look for a pullback

Source: RLC/USDT on TradingView

RLC crypto has a bullish 4-hour swing structure and heavy volume behind it to keep the trend going. It is possible the rally is overextended in the short term and could retrace.

In case of such a dip, the Fibonacci golden pocket at $0.485-$0.583 could offer a reasonable re-entry for bulls. However, the possibility of severe long liquidations and sell pressure from profit-taking needs to be followed by strong demand to inform bulls that their side is still in control.

Lacking demand, market participants might do better to remain sidelined.

Final Summary

  • RLC crypto has rallied 128% in 24 hours with a whopping trading volume increase to reach new highs for 2026.
  • Overheated market conditions could force a pullback in the short term, but liquidations will also dictate how deep a correction would go.

Updated Version 2 - US 30-Year Mortgage Rate Hits Nearly Three-Year High

Additional remarks by Trump were included in paragraphs 8 and 9. The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) stated that the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage in the US jumped by 19 basis points to 7.49%. The Federal Reserve signaled that it may raise interest rates one more time this year, though markets expect no action in October. Overall mortgage application volume fell by 4.2% week-on-week, reaching its lowest level since February 2025. According to Ann Saphir at Reuters on October 7, last week, the most common US home loan interest rate surged to its highest level in nearly three years. This further increased the burden on homebuyers, just four weeks before the election that will determine whether the Republican Party under President Donald Trump will maintain control of Congress. The MBA reported on Wednesday that during the week ending October 2, the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate jumped 19 basis points to 7.49%, the highest level since November 2023. Mortgage rates are closely correlated with US 10-year Treasury yields. Earlier this week, those yields hit a 24-year high, driven by concerns about inflation due to soaring oil prices and data showing strong US economic growth. A Reuters/Ipsos poll completed Monday found that the cost of living is the top issue for Americans when deciding how to vote on November 3. This is one reason Trump’s approval rating has dropped to an all-time low of 32%. Since the US-Israel coalition’s airstrikes against Iran in late February, home loan rates have risen by about 1.4 percentage points, a move echoing the similar increase in the 10-year Treasury yield, which surpassed 5.3% on Monday. Inflation is also climbing; using the Fed’s 2% target as a benchmark, inflation reached 3.4% in August. Federal Reserve policymakers have indicated that, after raising rates in September, they expect to hike again by year-end, although markets currently expect no action at the policy meeting in late October. When asked about mortgage rates on Wednesday, Trump said Fed Chair Kevin Warsh was “great”, but added that other members “seem to want the economy to underperform, because I think rates should be going down”. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, present in the Oval Office with Trump at the time, blamed inflation and high mortgage rates on temporary shocks caused by rising oil prices. “So, once we get through this Iran conflict and the energy market is well supplied, we will move towards the Fed’s targets, and both mortgage rates and the 10-year Treasury yield will come down,” Bessent said. The MBA reported Wednesday that overall mortgage applications last week dropped 4.2% from the previous week, with refinancing applications falling sharply. Total application volume is now at its lowest since February 2025 and has declined nearly 50% since January. “At current rate levels, there is almost no incentive for homeowners to refinance, and the surge in borrowing costs has caused many potential borrowers to exit the homebuying market,” said MBA Deputy Chief Economist Joel Kan. BUZZ - U.S. regulators’ investigation sparks concerns over regulatory scrutiny, agricultural equipment manufacturers’ stock prices decline

October 7 — Concern over increased scrutiny by US regulators on dealer networks and repair practices led to a decline in agricultural machinery manufacturers' stock prices. The Federal Trade Commission and the US Department of Agriculture are seeking public comments on whether agricultural equipment manufacturers and dealers are engaging in anti-competitive practices or restricting repair channels. The probe also focuses on limitations in dealer networks and industry consolidation, areas that could prompt wider regulatory examination of the agricultural equipment sector. Caterpillar (CAT.N) shares fell 6% to $811.44, making it one of the biggest decliners in the S&P 500 index. By midday trading, CNH Industrial CNH.N was down 6% to $12.47, Deere & Company DE.N fell 3.5% to $658.90, and AGCO AGCO.N dropped 6.3% to $108.91. Including these daily changes, the S&P 1500 Agricultural & Farm Machinery Index .SPCOMAGFM has risen 42.6% so far this year. BUZZ-Preview: PepsiCo earnings per share expected to be flat, investors focus on consumer spending

On October 7th, PepsiCo (PEP.O) shares fell by 1.4%, closing at $124.02. The company will release its quarterly earnings before market open on Thursday, and investors are closely watching for signs of pressure from tightening consumer budgets. According to data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Wall Street expects the carbonated beverage and snack giant's Q3 revenue to grow approximately 4% year-on-year to $24.96 billions, with adjusted earnings per share (EPS) at $2.29, unchanged from a year ago. Last quarter, PEP's revenue exceeded expectations but the company warned that performance in North America would slow due to tighter consumer budgets. Facing cost pressures and the threat from GLP-1 weight-loss drugs, PepsiCo (PEP) has limited time left to meet the growth and margin targets set a year ago following activist investor Elliott Management’s $4 billions stake. So far this year, PEP share price has dropped about 14%, underperforming both the S&P 500 Soft Drink & Non-Alcoholic Beverage Index's 8% rise (.SPLRCBEVS) and the S&P 500 Consumer Staples Index's 6% gain (.SPLRCS). The stock is currently trading at a price-to-earnings ratio of 14, below its five-year average of 21. Among 25 analysts' recommendations: 7 rate it as “Strong Buy” or “Buy,” 17 rate it as “Hold,” and 1 rates it as “Sell.” The median target price is $152, down from $170 on July 7.
