Huitong Finance reminds that position signals are determined by comparing “Latest Net Long%” and “Previous Net Long%”, where an increase in net long constitutes a “net long increase” signal, while a negative net long turning positive signals a “reversal to net long.” In the table, “Latest Net Long%” refers to the current “long proportion minus short proportion,” and “Previous Net Long%” refers to the most recent update (usually the last trading day), for comparison. A negative net long indicates that longs shorts. Based on the comparison of the latest net long% and previous net long% (last trading day’s net long%), the interpretation covers a total of 13 types of “position signals”, such as “net long increase, net long decrease, no change in net short, net short turns to balanced positions,” etc. Actual comparison results are illustrated accordingly in this article’s chart.

Exclusive Report - Sources say Apollo has submitted a non-binding offer for German energy company Uniper

Christoph Steitz/Anousha Sakoui – Reuters, Frankfurt/London, October 7 – According to two directly informed sources, Apollo Global Management (APO.N) has submitted a non-binding offer for the German state-owned energy company Uniper (UN0k.DE), joining the bidding for one of Germany’s largest utility companies. Prospective buyers must submit expressions of interest for Uniper by September 21. The company received a €13.5 billion ($15.1 billion) bailout from the Berlin government in 2022. Reuters previously reported that the sale of Uniper could be valued at around €10 billion, making it one of the largest utility transactions in Europe this year. The German Ministry of Finance, which oversees the Berlin government’s 99.12% stake in Uniper, is advised by UBS and JPMorgan, and has stated that it plans to sell up to 74.12% of the energy company. Czech energy company EPH, controlled by billionaire Daniel Kretinsky, as well as a consortium consisting of Brookfield (BN.TO) and Canadian CPPIB, have also submitted Expressions of Interest, Reuters previously reported. One source said Norway’s Equinor (EQNR.OL), as well as a consortium made up of KKR (KKR.N) and German rival RWE (RWEG.DE), have also placed offers. A third source involved in the negotiations stated that bidders are expected to be informed in the coming weeks whether they will advance to the next round. These individuals requested anonymity as they are not authorized to speak publicly. Apollo, Uniper, and KKR all declined to comment. Equinor has so far not commented. BUZZ - Cantor upgrades Humana rating, expects its Medicare profit margin to rebound strongly in 2027

October 7 - Cantor Fitzgerald has upgraded its rating on health insurance company Humana (HUM.N) from "Neutral" to "Overweight" and raised the target price from $300 to $460. The brokerage increased its 2027 EPS estimate from $15.86 to $17.96 and its 2028 estimate from $25.38 to $28.27, citing increased confidence in HUM's margin performance and quality rating recovery within the Medicare Advantage plan. Cantor expects this week’s upcoming Medicare quality ratings to be positive, and better scores would help HUM secure higher government bonuses in 2028. The brokerage stated that pricing strategies, benefits adjustments, and measures to control medical costs are expected to significantly improve Medicare margins in 2027. It believes that confirmation of HUM's 2027 performance forecast and 2027 membership in line with expectations will be the next potential catalyst following the quality ratings release. Cantor noted that HUM currently trades at 9.9 times management’s midpoint 2028 earnings forecast, compared to a historical average P/E of about 18x.
