Petrobras Secures 21 Blocks in Brazil's ANP Bidding Round
MT newswire2026/10/08 17:1001:10 PM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Petrobras (PBR) acquired the Azurita block in the Campos Basin and the Cruzeiro Sul block in the Santos Basin in a public bidding round promoted by Brazil's National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels for a signature bonus of 232.4 million Brazilian reais ($46.4 million), it said in a Thursday regulatory filing. In the Ceara Basin, Petrobras acquired seven blocks with a 70% participating interest in partnership with QatarEnergy Brasil during the 6th Concession Permanent Offer Cycle and also acquired 12 blocks in the Campos Basin, with a 100% participating interest, according to the filing. The total amount of signature bonuses to be paid by the company by Dec. 30, in connection with the 21 blocks, is about 3.22 billion reais, per the filing.
