RTX Unit Secures Contract Worth Up to $6.3 Billion for SM-3 Block IB Interceptors
MT newswire2026/10/08 21:3805:38 PM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RTX (RTX) unit Raytheon has secured a five-year contract, with two additional option years, valued at up to $6.3 billion for Standard Missile-3 Block IB interceptors, the company said Thursday. The contract supports replenishment of missile defense inventory and is part of agreements announced earlier between Raytheon and the Defense Department, according to the company. Production will be primarily completed at Raytheon facilities in Tucson, Arizona, and Huntsville, Alabama, the company said.
