AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile US Shares Fall After SpaceX Announces Spectrum Deal

11:56 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AT&T (T), Verizon Communications (VZ), and T-Mobile US (TMUS) shares fell in Friday trading after SpaceX's (SPCX) deal to acquire a nationwide low-band spectrum license portfolio raised concerns over competition from satellite-based mobile services. SpaceX said the acquisition will expand Starlink Mobile's coverage in the US, improving connectivity in areas with weak signal. AT&T shares were down 10%, Verizon stock was 10.1% lower, and T-Mobile shares fell 12.8%, respectively, around midday Friday. Price: 22.12, Change: -2.47, Percent Change: -10.04
