Retension Pharmaceuticals is a US-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative drugs for the treatment of hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases. The company's core pipeline drug, RTN-001, is a next-generation phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, mainly targeting patients with uncontrolled or resistant hypertension, and is currently undergoing Phase IIb clinical trials. This drug helps vasodilation and lowers blood pressure by enhancing nitric oxide signaling in blood vessels, and its exclusive global development license is from the French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi-Aventis (SNY.US).
