09:22 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lightspeed Commerce (LSPD) said Thursday it has introduced new retail-focused agentic capabilities that enable Lightspeed AI to reason across a retailer's catalog, inventory, sales and purchasing data and recommend actions to be reviewed and approved. Working with a retailer's data, the agent can identify low-stock products, prepare purchase orders, update product information, surface sales opportunities, among others, the company said. The new agentic capabilities within Lightspeed AI are currently being introduced to select customers with through an opt-in beta, with broader availability coming soon, according to a statement.
