Foresight News reports, according to Reuters, that Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated Circle is making a strong push to enter about 40 emerging and developing countries. He said that individuals and businesses in regions such as Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East are experiencing growing organic demand for stablecoins, and blockchain technology is moving from the early adoption phase into mainstream scaling. Jeremy Allaire also mentioned that the GENIUS Act, set to take effect in January next year, is a watershed moment, after which the world will have a legal digital dollar. The report notes that Circle's global expansion is backed by its $400 million acquisition of Tazapay and a $100 million strategic investment from Binance. As of the second quarter of this year, USDC's circulation volume increased 19% year-on-year to $73.3 billion. Jeremy Allaire also stated that machine-to-machine transactions between AI Agents have driven the growth in USDC usage, but the rapid development of AI has also escalated security risks, and financial infrastructure providers are facing increasingly severe threats.
