Delta Air Lines' Q4 Guidance Slightly Raises Revenue Bar for Peers, UBS Says

MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/19 17:04
01:04 PM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Delta Air Lines' (DAL) strong Q4 guidance has slightly raised the revenue bar for other airlines, UBS said in a Friday note, citing conversations with investors. Delta's financial results released last week, which featured Q4 revenue growth guidance of about 20%, show that demand strength is continuing into Q4 and early 2027, UBS analysts said. They added that Delta's competitive capacity is favorable in Q4 compared with its US peers. Given the macro and fuel price concerns in the industry, ultimately, any sustainable rise for the group as a whole would need jet fuel prices to move lower, the analysts said. UBS updated its Q4 EPS estimates for United Airlines (UAL) to $1.28 from $1.91, Southwest Airlines (LUV) to $0.78 from $1.06, American Airlines (AAL) to a loss of $1.17 from a loss of $0.78, and Alaska Air Group (ALK) to a loss of $1.52 from a loss of $0.68. UBS also updated its price targets for United Airlines to $139 from $146, Southwest Airlines to $52 from $53, American Airlines to $16 from $17, and Alaska Air Group to $51 from $54. The brokerage maintained its buy rating for all four airline stocks. Price: 75.22, Change: -0.15, Percent Change: -0.20
