Stocks are up with the Nasdaq composite rising around 1% after a rough week last week when the tech-heavy index clocked its biggest decline since June.
"Those names that were kind of getting sold off last week are all bouncing," said Michael Antonelli, a managing director at Baird. Here's what's moving markets today:
-- Tech stocks are driving the rebound with Amazon and Tesla among the biggest gainers.
-- The yield on the 10-year Treasury is up. Renewed confidence in markets is leading investors to conclude that more growth--and more Fed rate hikes--are ahead, Antonelli said.
-- Big earnings week ahead: SpaceX and Netflix report quarterly earnings tomorrow and Meta and Tesla report Wednesday. Investors will be looking at capital expenditures for reassurance that the tech spending boom is still going strong.
