As new and major institutions continue to join the crypto bandwagon while adding support for major crypto assets, a leading European banking network has just sparked a buzz in the XRP community following a new development today.
XRP trading expands to traditional European banks
Due to the development, XRP is now integrated into the traditional European banking system alongside other major crypto assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Polygon.
Following the launch, which happened on October 19, DekaBank will begin to provide the trading infrastructure needed for customers to access the crypto assets, while Börse Stuttgart's custody arm is responsible for safeguarding the digital assets.
As such, customers of savings banks under the networking firm will be able to buy and sell cryptocurrencies through an app they already use for conventional banking.
With this, customers and potential users do not need to open a separate account with a dedicated crypto exchange before they can trade the supported cryptos.
Trading XRP, BTC, ETH, SOL and POL on Sparkassen
While the launch has brought the aforementioned crypto assets into the limelight, positioning them for broader adoption especially in the European region, access to the trading services is still limited.
According to reports, the launch does not mean that every Sparkassen customer can immediately trade XRP or the other supported cryptocurrencies.
Rather, the firm revealed that participation is being introduced gradually, with each regional savings bank deciding when to activate the service.
