12:21 PM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Update includes analyst commentary.) BofA Securities trimmed price target on Ford Motor (F) to $19 from $20 on lower fiscal 2027 earnings estimates, "reflecting more muted EBIT growth on cost headwinds continuing into next year." The brokerage also slashed its 3Q EBIT estimate due to a supplier issue that disrupted F-Series truck production in September. Moreover, analysts led by Alexander Perry expect the automobile giant to make up for the lost production in 4Q but see 2026 adjusted EBIT below the midpoint of their $10 billion to $11 billion guidance. Ford has an average rating of overweight and mean price target of $15.90, according to analysts polled by FactSet. The outlook for AI trading is being reassessed, reshaping global asset allocation. The yen appreciated 0.3% against the US dollar to 157.68, and the Swiss franc rose 0.2%. Safe-haven buying emerged as oil prices surged due to an attack in Saudi Arabia. The future direction will depend on which theme dominates: inflationary pressures or a cooling in AI trading.
