The three major U.S. stock indices closed collectively lower, with the Dow down 0.31%, the Nasdaq down 0.60%, and the S&P 500 down 0.38%. Chip stocks weakened, Micron Technology, Broadcom fell more than 3%, Arm fell more than 2%, Nvidia, Intel, TSMC fell more than 1%.
