Strategy acquires approximately 16,800 BTC through $1.18 billions preferred stock financing

Strategy raised $1.18 billions through the issuance of preferred shares to purchase approximately 16,800 BTC, indicating a shift in its financing model from common shares to preferred shares. Last week, Strategy's STRC preferred share issuance reached $1.18 billions, far exceeding the $396 millions from common share sales. This marks the first time preferred shares have been used as the primary tool for bitcoin purchases. Currently, the annual dividend obligation for preferred shares has exceeded $1 billions, and the total outstanding preferred shares amount to over $10 billions. Since STRC trades below par value after ex-dividend, the company may increase dividends by 25 basis points to support the share price.
