Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Begin Talks to Develop Private Equity Market in Japan

Japan's private credit market remains at a relatively early stage of transition compared with those in Europe and the United States, creating growth opportunities, the duo said Tuesday. Mitsubishi UFJ identifies private credit in Japan as a "strategic" focus area and aims to offer investment opportunities to both domestic and international investors, according to the statement.
