Atlas Energy Solutions Secures AI Lab-Backed Equipment Purchase Agreements

07:25 AM EDT, 09/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Atlas Energy Solutions' (AESI) two wholly owned indirect subsidiaries entered into separate cost-reimbursement agreements with a leading frontier AI lab, alongside equipment purchase agreements, to support specific data-center projects, the company said Friday. The agreements cover long-lead-time equipment and incremental power generation. One agreement supports balance-of-plant equipment for Atlas' existing Caterpillar (CAT) generator orders, while the other supports an incremental 283 megawatts of Caterpillar power-generation equipment for the initial power ramp of a separate data-center project. Atlas also entered into a purchase agreement for 328 MW of generating capacity for delivery in 2027 under its Global Framework Agreement with Caterpillar. Atlas Energy Solutions shares were up 7.8% in premarket activity.
